The Escalator Sez...
"Please stand to the right" "Please think left" The text "Fahrtreppenbenutzungshinweise" means "Movingstairsusagenotices".

how do you say such a long wood without gasping for air? I always thought the scrabble rule for no proper nouns was a little strict....nicht auf Deutsch! see you soon Mom ;)
Well, this isn't a word that would be used in everyday conversation. You normally see this kind of language on official signs and notices. If I were to refer to this sign in conversation I would say "die Hinweise auf der Rolltreppe" (the notices on the escalator), which sounds a little more natural.
